What is HBoV1?
Human bocavirus 1 (HBoV1) is a parvovirus that was discovered in 2005 in nasopharyngeal aspirates from children with respiratory tract infections. It is a newly described human pathogen that has been associated with lower respiratory tract and gastrointestinal infections.
How is HBoV1 Spread?
HBoV1 is typically spread through contact with respiratory droplets or feces. It is most commonly found in children under the age of 2, but it can also infect adults.
What are the Symptoms of HBoV1?
