WEB Shifty Shellshock, the frontman of rap rock band Crazy Town, has died, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. No official cause of death has been released at this time.

WEB Crazy Town, sometimes abbreviated as CXT, was formed in Los Angeles in 1995 by Bret Epic Mazur and Shifty Shellshock. The band rose to fame in the early 2000s with their hit song "Butterfly," which spent two weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

After Crazy Town disbanded in 2002 due to disappointing sales of their second album, Shifty Shellshock pursued a solo career and released a solo album. The circumstances surrounding his death are still under investigation.
